But that’s not the case for the florists because they are under amplified price pressure, talking about the 2016-2021 trend. And the future of the floral industry there seems not very different. Overall, it has been a very bumpy ride for florists and the floral industry in the United States during Covid.

The study shows that during the last four months in 2020, remote jobs saw a big surge. And out of them one was of florists which made it to the second position in professions that observed an increase in the salaries. The topmost were factory workers with a sharp increase of 61%.

According to a study on Statista, the flowers and plant output in the Uk from the year 2014-2020 has only increased. The monthly output’s index points for June 2020 in the UK were 105.72, which is quite high.

The shift in salaries and production is also because of the world digital transformation. Covid almost forced the businesses to shift online, and so did the florists. The salaries of the florists at the start of 2020 were approximately £28,455 and, at the beginning of 2021, they surged to £43,786.

Reasons of UK’s Florist Salaries Increase

There are so many possible reasons why the salaries of florists in the Uk have left behind even civil servants and farmers. We will try to discuss all of them one by one; so, the first reason is that after the second covid wave and the vaccine, everything started to normalize. And people started celebrating all the birthdays, weddings, and other events on hold during the pandemic. So, the orders for online flower bouquets increased. Apart from that, the arrangements need tons and tons of flowers. People also started going to offices, so office parties also count.
